Organized by The Executive Committee of CTW International Arts, the "7th CTW International Children and Youth Painting and Calligraphy 2026 Summer Competition" has successfully concluded. Centered around the theme "City," this edition received a total of 4,500 entries from regions including Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macao, Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, and Taiwan. Through their artistic creations, participants showcased the landscapes and unique charms of various cities, demonstrating a harmonious blend of diversity while fully embodying urban vitality and artistic creativity.

Notably, the standard of this year's submissions reached an even higher level than before, clearly reflecting the continuous progress and enhancement in the participants' technical skills and artistic expression. Following rigorous evaluation by the judging committee, the winning entries were selected. The organizers have specially selected 1,000 outstanding works to be showcased in the "CTW INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN AND YOUTH PAINTING AND CALLIGRAPHY 2026 SUMMER COMPETITION - Excellent Works Grand Prize Exhibition" at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art.

Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art

The Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art, located in Okazaki Park, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto, Japan, was established in 1938. It is the second public art museum in Japan, following the Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, and ranks among Kyoto's four major museums alongside three other national and public institutions.

The museum features a diverse collection that includes Japanese paintings, Western paintings, and crafts from the Meiji era to around 1990. Its permanent exhibitions rotate several times a year, complemented by various special exhibitions and university graduation shows. Large-scale exhibitions organized by media outlets attract significant visitor interest.

In 2020, following renovations, the museum adopted the naming rights from Kyocera. Before reopening on March 31, 2020, it was officially renamed Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art. The current director, architect Jun Aoki, is also the designer of the renovation project.

The updated exhibition space accommodates a greater number of artworks, enabling more participants to showcase their creations in Kyoto, with a focus on reaching an international audience.

1. Result Notification:
   All participants will receive competition result notifications via email. Please be sure to check your inbox.

2. Exhibition Eligibility:

   • Participants ranked in the top 1,000 scores will be invited to participate in the exhibition.

   • All invited participants will receive an exhibition registration form via email.

   • Please complete the online exhibition registration form by September 30, 2026. Late submissions will be regarded as a forfeiture of eligibility.

   • Exhibited artworks must arrive at the designated receiving address by October 9, 2026 (refer to the exhibition registration form for details).

   • A paid artwork printing service provided by the organizer is also available for exhibition.

3. Art Catalog Ordering:

   • The organizer will publish an exhibition art catalog featuring live event highlights, summaries, and outstanding artworks.

   • To place an order, please complete the order form included in the result notification email.

   • Note: Only the works of participants who purchase the catalog will be featured in it.

4. Subsequent Shipping:

   • All exhibited artworks, catalogs, trophies, medals, and certificates (including certificate covers) will be dispatched via SF Express (Freight Collect) within 30 days after the conclusion of the exhibition.

   • Estimated delivery time is January 2027.

   • Delivery method: SF Express (Freight Collect).

5. Certificate Cover Add-on & Exhibition Certificate Application:

   • For additional purchases of the official certificate cover or applications for an exhibition certificate, the fee is HKD 60 each.

   • Please specify your purchase requests in the form attached to the email.
